The key is to write short, helpful articles focused at customers in your target niche, and then include a description and link to your software where relevant. If you are not a good writer, then this is something you can outsource to web content writers at very reasonable rates.
Pay per click (PPC) marketing works well when you know what you're doing. If you've not done it before, then this is an area where it is worth getting professional help. Make sure you are tracking your conversion rates and ROI, so you don't end up spending more money than you make. Pick your keywords carefully: try to find those that have high demand (lots of searches) but lower supply (fewer competitive sites).
