Software Blogs and Forums That I Read

With all the noise out there, it can be challenging to find the software blogs and discussion forums that are really relevant to your business.

And you have limited time as a software vendor. I've included here the blogs that I read on a regular basis and are updated frequently enough to be interesting, and also the useful discussion forums related to software marketing and business.

Of course, you should also check out our software marketing blog as well.

  • Blogs
    • SandHill.com blogs - Good general blog on the state of the software industry etc from this well-known VC/analyst firm. You can subscribe to the RSS feed for all SandHill commentary under "RSS Feeds" on the left, then select the SandHill.com blog xml.
    • OnStartups blog - excellent blog for software entrepreneurs from a very successful software entrepreneur himself. You do have to register to access it (free).
    • Software as Services blog - Phil Wainewright's blog at ZDNet about everything to do with software services.
    • SaaS blog - nice blog about the SaaS trend and the realities of running a SaaS business, from the founders of Apprenda, a SaaS platform provider.
    • Original Thinking blog - a well-written IT-focused blog by Dennis Stevenson at ITtoolbox blogs.

  • Discussion Forums
